"Would You Flume This?" (j/k)
Boston, MA – As far as I’m concerned, between Whitney Houston and Davey Jones, it’s a coinflip as to who did more for music and had the better voice. But you know how in “Office Space” one of the biggest laughs of all is that the character “Michael Bolton” felt like shit for having the same name, as the character says, “as that ass clown Michael Bolton”? Well, Davey Jones came out around the same time as another David Jones, and that David Jones had to change his name to “David Bowie” because he “didn’t want people to confuse him with that mop-topped dickhead who’s running around America with Mickey Dolenz and 2 other guys no one remembers, putting his fingers up girls knickers while knowing about the same amount of chords as Tom Petty.” Sure I made up that entire quote, but he had to be thinking along those lines. That reminded me that there’s another Martin Munson out there, but instead of being an awesome blogger, he’s an ‘artist’ that refuses to give up the domain www.martinmunson.com. I hate to make this obituary about myself, but I’m going to anyway, so I recently reached out to this Martin Munson, and here is our actual email.

Good Afternoon,
My name is Martin Munson, and I’m a nationally recognized blogger. I was looking to purchase the domain martinmunson.com but I noticed that you currently own it. I was wondering if you would be open to offers to purchase it from you?
Please let me know.
Thanks, have a great day.
Martin

Yes, I was on your web site and the tables with the checkerboards built in are very cool and so current, if you live in The Shire. When you say your logo, are you referring to the yellow thing on the left hand side of your site that looks like a mental patient made a donut? Obviously, our name can be used by us, or any other Martin Munson out there. So, we can share the name in terms of copyrighting and licensing, considering our businesses are very different. As an artist and sculptor, you probably didn’t know that. Which, brings us back to the domain, martinmunson.com. Why don’t you consider slipping into something a little more comfortable, like martinmunson.net? I am prepared to offer you 2% of future ad revenues from my web site. In 2011, I took in roughly $74, which would net you $1.66 a year for the rest of your life (but no further.) Or, maybe you would rather play best two out of three in Checkers?
Thanks,
THE Martin Munson
